A little about me

At the time of this post, I am in my 20s, average female from Indonesia who likes writing. Right now I am in San Diego working as an IT consultant with decent salary.

I was born & raised in Jakarta, the capital city. I have the privilege to be raised in a good middle-class family. Our family isn't rich by standard; we don't have private chauffeur nor do we have a huge house in elite neighborhood. However, the Lord blessed our family by providing enough resources for both my sister & I to get good education in Indonesia & United States.

I like reading. This hobby allowed me to be influenced by great minds whom I never met.

I also like watching movies. I am fascinated by the way they influenced our minds with the storytelling. Movie is a very effective medium to convey your ideas.

More than anything, I like writing. I adore writing. Even though I cannot write 24-7 nor do I be as productive as other writers, when I write I feel like I'm in another world.

I'm not a public person by any chance. I will get stage-fright whenever I'm on spotlight. However, I do like to motivate other people & share my thoughts in writing. Thus I believe blog is such an effective medium for this purpose.

I'm Catholic by religion, Asian by race, and Indonesian-Chinese by identity. In some way you can categorized me under the common stereotype, but most likely I will not fit into the stereotype. Although I was still heavily influenced by my upbringing, I am proud to say that I'm a freethinker. For most part, I questioned all things that are shown in my face. I demand answers, and I honestly searched for them. After sometime, I would be satisfied with my own conclusions and stand firm by them.

I have no doubt on the constant change in one's life and quite possibly the conclusion I have right now may not make sense in the future. Thus I remained open to this possibility.

However, there is one universal, unquestionable doctrine that I will refuse to question anymore. The whole writing in this blog will be based upon this doctrine.

There is a desire for God in every living human being, it is written in human hearts, and we are created to find the truth & happiness in finding Him.

This blog is never meant to evangelize or proselytize anyone. I'm a freethinker, and I hope you are too. This blog is also will not tell you about gain more money, bring more success, get more hot chicks. I'm sorry, but you need to google it somewhere else.

This blog is meant to be about personal development. Personal development is about gaining better perspectives and understanding in your life. Wise folks would say that if you do that, you would lead a good, honest and peaceful life. If you lead good, honest & peaceful life, you will attract all things that are also eternally good.

I am not a wise person by age, I don't have enough experience to teach you how to lead better life. However, I'm willing to share my personal development journey. You can watch me struggle and learn things in finance, society, spirituality and many more.

Last but not least, I really hope that you, my readers, will gain something from this blog. Do leave comments, do ask questions, do contact me if you need to.
